She uploaded a picture of herself with her father on Facebook and wrote a heartbreaking message, expressing her deep sorrow.
“Now what can I say about a brave man like you? The translation of perfection. I don’t know how I will live without you, father, but I know you are no longer in pain. I love you with everything in me,” he wrote.
Maribe’s father became famous when he came to court frequently to hold the hand of his daughter, who was involved in the case of the murder of businessman Monica Kimani.
He was seen hugging his daughter or talking to her while in the dock, trying to make sure she was okay.
At one time, many Kenyans praised him as a good father who did not abandon his son when he faced problems.
Monica Kimani was killed in her home in Kilimani, and Maribe’s lover at the time, Joseph Irungu aka Jowi, was found guilty while Maribe was acquitted.
On March 13, 2024, Judge Lady Justice Grace Nzioka sentenced Jowi to death, which left Kenyans with mixed feelings.
