Lugari constituency has once again been engulfed in mourning following the death of its former member of parliament, Enoch Kibunguchy.

The 72-year-old deceased died in a hospital Eldoretwhere he was receiving treatment for an undisclosed illness.
He served in the National Assembly for two terms, after defeating the late Cyrus Jirongo in the Lugari seat in 2002, and later served as the founding Member of Parliament for Likuyani between 2013 and 2017.
Those who worked with him remember him as a leader who had wisdom and integrity.
He was known for his moderate attitude, deep understanding of legal issues, and unwavering emphasis on development projects that changed the lives of people in his area.
More than policy and politics, he was a mentor and guardian to many, nurturing budding leaders and guiding them with patience and wisdom.
Even after leaving electoral politics, Kibunguchy continued to participate in public affairs.
A few months ago, he joined the Democratic Action Party of Kenya (DAP-K) from FORD Kenya, a sign of his abiding interest in shaping the political future of his region towards the 2027 General Election.
The therapist leaves behind a great legacy of service, care, and commitment to the community.
His life reminds us that true leadership is not measured by titles, but by lives touched by elevated communities.
