Speaking in a recent interview with Chris Da Bass, Eric admitted that losing almost everyone in his family has affected him deeply.

He revealed that he was completely heartbroken when his parents died.

The situation became more complicated when he had to bury his older brother.

He said that although he has been able to recover and move forward after the aforementioned deaths, he has not yet found the strength to do so following the death of his younger brother, Fred Omondi.

“I lost my mother in 2002, I lost my father in 2004, and I lost my brother in 2016. I lost my mother, we buried her; my father, we buried her; my brother, we buried him. But for Freddy, even now that I’m sitting here, I still haven’t recovered. Sometimes I just choose to ignore the pain,” he revealed.

According to Omondi, he believes Fred’s death hurt him a lot because they were very close.

He explained that they started the movement to find a life for themselves at about the same time and they did many things together, which makes him unable to release her.

“I don’t know if it’s because I grew up with him. I don’t know if it’s because we came to Nairobi and started looking for a life together. We were very close. My aunt even confessed to me that she knows I can’t recover completely. She said I will live with that pain forever,” he added.
