The passengers sat in the bus patiently and cooperated, while the health workers attended to their sick colleague.

Although the moment of pity put a damper on everyone’s journey, it was worth it as the passenger reached his destination without further health problems.

It was a silent act of caring, but it showed a lot about the responsibility and dignity of life on the road in Kenya.

For the passengers who waited, and the one whose journey was stopped for treatment, it was proof that sometimes the most important part of the journey is compassion itself.

“I traveled on that bus that day. The girl was in severe pain throughout the journey but thanks to a medical passenger who, in collaboration with the conductor, made it possible for the girl to arrive safely at her destination Mutomo,” remembered Flora Kaari.
