Information director of Citizen TVTrevor Ombija, has attracted the attention of the internet after sharing a video of him making a prayer before starting his campaign for the Nyakach parliamentary seat.

Ombija had previously indicated that he would compete for the Nyakach Member of Parliament seat, while the current member of parliament, Joshua Aduma, is campaigning for the governorship.

Many were waiting to see how he would change from his career in the media and enter politics, now that the country is approaching the campaign period.

In a new video he shared on TikTok his, Trevor was seen standing with the son of God wearing a yellow gown, placing his hands on his head to pray.

They were all standing in what looked like an abandoned construction site, while the other people looked intently behind.

This happens a few days after all the candidates were in Nyakach for a spiritual service, which was also attended by other government officials.

“Nyakach has agreed. There is no dispute,” he wrote on his TikTok video.

What did Trevor Ombija promise the residents?

In a separate report, Trevor once surprised the residents of Nyakach after he promised to reduce fees to KSh 1000 per term if they elected him.

His promise drew cheers and shouts from the women in the congregation as Ombija reinforced his message.

The journalist has not yet officially announced his intention to run, but his remarks at the events he attends are already raising his profile throughout the region.

The journalists had publicly introduced his wife, Venice, in 2024 at a meeting in Nyakach constituency.

The renowned journalist praised him as his beloved partner, highlighting his steadfast support in every season of life.

She waved to her constituents who cheered her on before going to her seat, while Trevor marveled at her beauty and their relationship.
