Trans Nzoia – Former Interior Minister Fred Matiang’i has held a consultation meeting with Governor George Natembeya.

On Wednesday, December 17, Matiang’i, accompanied by some opposition leaders, paid a courtesy visit to Natembeya at his office.

Among the leaders who accompanied the former Interior Minister were the head of the Opposition secretariat Mukhisa Kituyi and Kisii Senator Richard Onyonka.

What did Matiang’i, Natembeya talk about?

In a statement, Matiang’i said the meeting reflected on the challenges facing the administration Kenya First and the need for responsible leadership.

They also confirmed their friendship and strong working relationship in the Opposition Coalition before the 2027 General Election.

“We confirmed our friendship and our strong working relationship within the United Opposition as we continue to pursue our vision of restoring good leadership and fixing the problems facing our country. We also reflected on the challenges facing the Kenya First administration and emphasized the need for responsible leadership and good management of our country,” Matiang’i said.

The former powerful minister further disclosed that they discussed with Natembeya the need to work together as opposition leaders to save the country from the President’s rule William Ruto.

Recently, Matiang’i and Natembeya have not attended opposition meetings organized by the former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua and Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka.
