CHAN 2024 in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania

The tournament comes after the rescheduled 2024 African Nations Championship in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania (CHAN 2024), which was otherwise successful, except for a few incidents of mob violence.

CAF was forced to update its protocols throughout the tournament, including restricting access to fans in Kenya after large numbers of fans turned out to watch the matches Harambee Stars.

This time, the governing body has published a list of items that will be strictly prohibited inside the stadiums AFCON while trying to create a safe place for everyone.

At the top of the list and the primary concern is weapons, or sharp objects of any kind that can be used as weapons. Fireworks, pyrotechnics, gas sprays, flammable items, and laser items will also not be allowed as they may cause disruption.
