Betty’s mother had previously expressed concern about the children’s safety while under Tash’s care, and appealed to Kanyari to pick them up.
When will Kanyari take custody of his children?
During a recent sermon at his Salvation Healing Ministries church, Kanyari said he is now ready to take care of his children.
He explained that he previously delayed the action to avoid conflicts.
“You know there is a father who gave birth to them and a father who raised them. We are two fathers, that is why I did not rush to take them. I understood there was another father, and I am not a violent person. If I wanted to fight, I would have arrived there with young people and demanded my children. But I do not want war,” he said.
The preacher also revealed that he has found a luxury house worth about KSh 91 million in Runda, which he plans to move into with the children, hinting that it may happen this week.
“I have bought a house for the children to live in with his sister Betty. The house was being sold for KSh 90 million. We have already completed all the documents to receive it. I think I will take them this week and live with them. I will raise them,” Kanyari told his followers.

Kenyans give their opinion
Some of the comments of netizens following Kanyari’s announcement include:
Tony Gachuru: “A parent’s love is not just paying fees, buying food and clothes, but growing up with your children, being there all the time, even doing school work together.”
Arita Coaches: “Free advice from a keen observer. The children love and appreciate you as their biological father, of course. But they are freer to live with Tash and visit you often. That is a very hard truth to accept. I would like you to stop talking about it every day and see if they say, ‘we want our father.'”
Joseph Janty: “Give them time to heal, otherwise you will lose them.”
Alas Kish: “Take children, raise them, you are their father and mother.”
