The 64-year-old politician died in a road accident that left his family and the entire nation in deep sorrow.

It is reported that Jirongo was on his way to Nairobi from Nakuru when his Mercedes-Benz collided head-on with a passenger bus that was coming to Karai, Naivasha around 9 am.

It is believed that Jirongo’s car was on the wrong side of the road when it collided with a Climax bus, which caused the sudden death of the former MP.

The witness also doubted whether the person in the private car could have survived the accident.

“I don’t think he’s alive. I see they’re trying to get him out of the car. You can go and see for yourself. As for me, I don’t like to get too close to events like this. Now, look how they’re pulling him out with a rope. These buses are useless,” he told his friends who were in the car.

At the scene of the incident, residents and the police seemed to cooperate in restoring order to the road.

Jirongo’s car was in the middle of the road, bent to one side after the collision, while the Climax bus was in front of it.

Other cars also held their positions so that the police could handle the area and remove the remains of the accident.
