When his mother started to address the guests, she shared the reasons why she named her son and what the neighbors said because of the way he cried for Raila recently.

“That was my father, whom I loved, and I named him after him when he was alive. My father died in 1982, and my husband died in 1985. I think they will not leave me, and they will continue to pray for me. God is the greatest. People reminded me that he shouted when Raila died, and people came to his house. Did he not want death? So let him just mourn his son. I cried for Raila,” he said.

Amimo’s mother also recalled a conversation with her son where she confirmed that another prominent man would also die after Raila’s death.

“I heard him say that there will be another man who will follow Baba. I am not lying. He is the man who wanted to follow Baba. God be God. I thank you all; you have given me strength,” he said.

He also thanked the people of God who were preparing Amimo’s memorial and asked for continued prayers as they prepared to bury the journalist.

What did Amimo’s neighbor say?

Earlier, TUKO.co.ke featured Amimo’s neighbor after she displayed his house in Nairobi and shared memories she had of him.

According to the neighbor, Amimo loved taking strolls in the evening with his wife, and she was inspired by how he loved his wife.

She also claimed that the family was very prayerful, and they had a statue in their house entrance to signal the prayerful home they had established.

The neighbor mourned the death of Amimo and blamed the devil for robbing them of such a kind and loving soul.
