Former Cabinet Minister and Member of Parliament for Lugari, Cyrus Jirongo, has died.

The powerful former minister of the KANU era died following a fatal road accident in the Karai area, along the Nairobi-Nakuru Highway.
It is said that Jirongo was driving his car on his way home when he collided with a 45-seater passenger bus, killing him instantly.
