Jeff made his long-awaited return to the show after months of speculation about his absence. Fans noticed his disappearance on Citizen TV in October and wondered if he had left the station.

Although Jeff Koinange Live continued to air, other broadcasters ran it, causing confusion over the use of his name. Soon after, false rumors about his death began to circulate.

However, Jeff confirmed that he was alive and well in a leaked WhatsApp conversation.

How did Jeff Koinange return unexpectedly?

On Wednesday, December 10, Jeff made a surprise return during a news briefing. Citizen TV shared photos of Ayub Abdikadir warmly welcoming him back to the studio.

The two hugged happily as Jeff, visibly excited, laughed happily.

Jeff mocked the fake death rumors circulating on social media. To make sure he was okay, Abdikadir jokingly tested the fire extinguisher, confirming that it worked after a quick spray of foam.

Jeff joked that the news of his death was exaggerated, since no one has been resurrected since biblical times. He thanked all Kenyans who sent him messages and supported him while he was away.

Many viewers admitted that they were happy to see him back on TV. The excitement spread beyond the audience, as his fellow journalists were also delighted by his return. Mashirima Kapombe shared many photos hugging Jeff.
