Kenyans have sympathized with the widow of veteran media personality Festus Amimo after his sudden death.

Amimo died on Sunday, December 7, in Nairobi, but the cause of his death has not yet been revealed.
Fans of the Mayienga FM boss, who died at the age of 46, used social media to mourn him with great respect, with many describing him as a mentor, a humble and diligent journalist.
How many children did Festus Amimo have?
Amimo was happily married to Rose, and they were blessed with three children. They got married in August 2023. The couple were expecting their fourth child at the time of the journalist’s sudden death.

Several leaders, including the boss of Homabay county Gladys Wanga and Kisumu West Member of Parliament Rosa Buyu, visited Amimo’s family at his home in Awasi in Kisumu county.
“We offered our deepest condolences to the family of our dear friend and respected journalist, Festus Amimo, at his home in Awasi, Kisumu county. The death of Festus is very great; we have not only lost a dear friend but also a powerful voice that touched our hearts as a popular radio presenter from our area. As the family continues the difficult journey to prepare for his final burial next Friday, our thoughts and prayers are with them,” Wanga wrote under the heartbreaking photos of the young widow tears
Images of a pregnant mother wiping away tears and in some being comforted by governor Wanga and Buyu broke hearts.
