The Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetang’ula gave information about the death of the late MP.

What happened to MP Hamisi?

Hamisi died after being involved in a fatal accident near his home on December 6.

A person who witnessed the accident revealed that the MP was alone in his car, and that he died on the spot due to the severity of the head injuries he sustained.

The late MP lost control of his SUV, and it went off the road and hit a tree and ended up in a ditch.

First responders helped extricate his body from the vehicle before police arrived. They towed the badly damaged SUV.

Leaders gathered at Lee Funeral Home to witness the posthumous examination of the late politician.

“The MPs led by the Deputy Leader of the Majority Party, Hon. Owen Baya Yaa are currently at Lee Funeral Home to witness the inquest after the death of their colleague, the late Hon. Denar Joseph Hamisi.”

When will Hamisi be buried?

A message from the MP’s communications team revealed that the funeral mass will take place on Thursday, December 11, 2025.

“The funeral mass in honor of the deceased member of parliament will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Ridgeways Baptist Church at 5:00 am. This will be followed by an all-night vigil in Mazeras, Kwale county on Friday, December 12,” part of the message said.

His funeral will be in Kwale county on December 13.

“The MPs will join Kenyans to meet their colleague at his home in Kwale County on Saturday, December 13.”
