This follows Kalonzo’s remarks on the death of former Chief of Defense Forces General Francis Ogolla.
The MPs accused Kalonzo of making comments that appear to be politically charged and aimed at inciting tension.
They said that such claims, left unsubstantiated, risk fueling concerns ahead of the 2027 elections.
Why do MPs want Kalonzo to appear before the DCI?
Speaking on Sunday, December 7, Member of Parliament for Emurua Dikirr, Johana Ng’eno, urged Kalonzo to come forward to investigative agencies and officially explain any information he may have.

“I heard Kalonzo shouting about the death of Ogolla. He was claiming that he was killed. We want to ask Kalonzo, if you have any information about who caused the death of Ogolla, please report to the police, DCI, and give that information so that the alleged killer is arrested,” he said.
Uasin Gishu Senator, Jackson Mandagowas also angry with the Wiper leader, accusing him of lacking the moral basis to make such remarks.
Mandago linked Kalonzo to alleged irregularities in the disputed 2007 presidential election and Mwai Kibakiwhich later led to massive violence.
“I want to challenge you, if you are a really honest person, you shouldn’t have served as Kibaki’s vice president. You shouldn’t. Because you know you didn’t win the election. That’s why you were sworn in at night,” Mandago said.
The leaders spoke in Kanui, Baringo North, during a fundraising event at the church.
They warned Kenyans to be wary of politicians making inflammatory comments, saying such remarks could further divide the country as the country heads for the 2027 General Election.
What did Kalonzo say about Ogolla’s death?
Kalonzo made the remarks on Saturday, December 6, during his sister’s funeral ceremony Raila OdingaBeryl Achieng Odinga.
In his speech, Kalonzo said the Nyanza region has lost many great voices in ways that cannot be ignored.

“What happened? I said General Ogolla was killed, and he was one of this community. I still stand by that. We will question everything so that as brothers and sisters in Luo Nyanza and across the country, we follow Raila’s vision. We should never betray what Raila represented,” he said.

“Ogolla did not die by accident — he was killed. We must find the truth and speak it with courage,” he added in a Facebook post.
Beryl, who died at the age of 72, was buried in Kang’o ka Jaramogi, more than 40 days after Raila’s funeral.
Did Kalonzo dare the DCI to call him?
This is not the first time Kalonzo has made controversial statements about Ogolla’s death.
In April, he reignited the debate by claiming that the former army chief had been sent on what he saw as an unusual sub-task, raising concerns about the type of aircraft.
Kalonzo also said he was ready to defend his position and even dared the DCI to call him so that he could present his explanation.
