Festus Amimo: Veteran KBC Mayienga FM Announcer Dies, Fans Weep

The media industry has mourned the sudden death of veteran radio presenter, Festus Amimo.

How did Mayienga FM mourn Festus Amimo?

Mayienga FM confirmed his death in a social media post and described his death as mysterious.

“Breaking news: Mayienga FM mourns the head of station, Festus Amimo. It is with great shock, great sadness, and heavy hearts that we announce the untimely death of our Head of Station, Festus Amimo WA,” Mayienga FM announced.

It should be remembered that Amimo was the chairman of the Jofwambo Welfare Association

According to information disclosed by the association, Amimo’s remains are currently at the Nairobi Funeral Home.

“It is with great shock that I inform you of the sudden death of our chairman, Festus Amimo. As we continue to understand this shocking news, I ask that we all pray for his family, colleagues and ourselves. Jakom’s remains are at the Nairobi Funeral Home, a private branch. We are making arrangements in consultation with the family and his employer, the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC), to relocate him,” read a statement from the Jofwambo Welfare Association.

Following his death, Amimo’s fans are heartbroken, with many sharing their condolences online.
