Earlier this year, Hyvonne was preparing for the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE), but six months ago, she went blind and was taken to Nyancha Hospital.
“Hyvonne started going blind and was taken to Nyanchwa Hospital, but while there, the doctor did not give him any glasses,” said Bivon Omari.
“‘He was transferred to Chira and tests were done, but it was only at Oasis that the doctors found that he had a tumor, but it was not cancerous. They were taken to Kenyatta National Hospital or Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret,” he added.

What did Hyvonne’s diagnosis at KNH say she was suffering from?
At KNH, they received treatment and were taken to Top Hill Spine and Brain Surgery Hospital there Eldoret. On Wednesday morning, he underwent brain surgery, where doctors discovered that the tumor was attached to the brain.
“So after the surgery, she was taken to the ICU, but after a day, our beloved Hyvonne died in the ICU. She is one of the candidates who failed their exams,” Bivon told TUKO.co.ke.
“It is very unfortunate what happened to the family of that little girl, and they definitely need help from Kenyans. I will contact them and see how Kenyans can help,” he said.

The girl dies a few days before the exams
In another story, a 19-year-old girl, Elizabeth Rukia Jumaa, tragically died just days before her KCSE exams.
The news of the young man’s death was announced on social media, and it caused an outpouring of grief from friends, classmates, and villagers.
The girl was well prepared for the KCSE exams which were scheduled to start in November.
