Eric Omondi Opens Up, Says He and Jacque Maribe Will Not Answer Questions About Their Son In Interviews

Comedian Eric Omondi has opened up about his co-parenting relationship with a journalist Jacque Maribe.

The comedian and Jacque have one son, but in recent days, Omondi claimed that he is not the biological father.

What happened between Eric and Maribe?

Eric’s conflicting statements in the past left his fans and followers confused. In 2021, he posted on Instagram implying that he is not the father.

Maribe had dubbed the comedian a dirty father, claiming that he was not helping their son.

The father of two had previously revealed that a journalist had denied him and his son the opportunity to do a DNA test.

In 2021, Eric said that he was willing to take care of the little boy if the reporter was willing to do a DNA test.

The comedian and Maribe met in 2012 while working at Radio Africa Group. He was working at Radio Jambo and Maribe at Kiss TV.

During a recent interview on the Iko Nini podcast, Eric talked about the issue and how he and the reporter resolved it.

Eric said that Maribe asked him not to publish their dirty laundry on social media.

“We met on Radio Jambo, he was on Kiss TV. We were close friends. Jacque is my boyfriend even today, we are boys. About the joint parenting, things are going well, I talked to him yesterday or today. There is a lot in this story until I called him and told him that we should assume the story. He told me ‘Eric I shouldn’t see you on Mpasho or Pulse.’ We agreed that we will not talk about it,” he said.

The activist admitted that the conflicts they had on social media would one day affect their son.

“We had that conversation because we were causing a lot of damage. Then the child grows up and he will see all this. So he called me, and he said, ‘let’s agree on one thing,’ and there is a story that he and I know. We also argue. So I promised him that I will not talk,” he said.

In other news, Eric has two children, one with Maribe and the second with his ex, Lynne Njihia.

The comedian and Lynne split in 2025, but continue to raise their beautiful daughter together.

Eric and Lynne welcomed their first child together in 2023, and the comedian shared a photo with him in the maternity ward.

The two were considered to have two goals by their fans before they decided to separate. However, Eric has maintained his love for his daughter over the years.
