Brother, Oburu OdingaRuth’s sister, along with her sister Beryl’s lovers and children paid their respects to her.
Beryl’s daughter, Chizi, spoke during the mass and remembered her mother’s words after learning of her death Raila Odinga.
Raila died on October 15 while receiving treatment in India, accompanied by his sister Ruth and daughter Winnie.
Ruth shared that she did not know how to tell her sick sister, Beryl, about their brother’s death.

Beryl said there was nothing left for her in the world after her brother died.
The two were very close, and the late politician helped his sister; he often visited her when he was a young married man.
Beryl’s words after Raila’s death
According to Chizi, Raila used to give Beryl his bed and sleep on the floor whenever he visited her.
When she died, Beryl’s words touched the hearts of many because she realized there was nothing left for her in the world.
“When Dad died, the first words out of my mother’s mouth were, ‘there is nothing left for me in the world anymore.’ You often don’t understand how close two people were until one of them leaves again. At every stage of his life, Baba was there. He often told me stories about when Dad was living in Nairobi West as a young married man; he was picking him up and bringing him to his house. He gave her his bed and slept on the floor all because of his love for his sister,” said Chizi.

Chizi also remembered when his parents separated, and his father hiring a private investigator to find his mother, and Raila attacking the investigator.
“When my parents separated, he did everything he could to help her. And remembering how my father managed to find my mother, Father and me through a private detective in Zimbabwe, Father called the detective angrily… My name is Chizi and people often laugh and are surprised because they don’t understand how that name is really mine,” he added.
What Oburu gave his daughter Beryl
In other news, Oburu recalled how he used to take care of his younger sister in the past.
The politician admitted that it was difficult for him to mourn his sister, who died almost a month after the death of their brother.
Oburu revealed that he was like a guardian to Beryl and that he cherished the time they spent together.
He also recounted the time when they returned to reunite after finishing his studies in Russia.
Furthermore, Oburu gave his daughter Beryl a job.
