Will Gachagua support Edwin Sifuna in 2027?

The former DP said the secretary general of the ODM party has done well as a Nairobi Senator and that he has no problem giving him the DCP ticket to defend his seat.

“We have heard that Ruto does not want Sifuna in ODM. Sifuna, I want to tell you my brother, if Ruto takes you away from ODM, you are welcome to DCP. Sifuna is a senior senator in Nairobi, and I have no problem with DCP supporting him as a Nairobi senator,” Gachagua said.
The DCP leader also advised the young Embakasi East MP, who is eyeing the Nairobi governor seat, to join the opposition.
Will Babu Owino join the Wiper party?
“Babu Owino, if Ruto kicks you out, this is your home. Come home,” the former DP said.
Gachague continued to ask Babu and the Nairobi senator to join the Wiper party of the former vice president Kalonzo Musyoka if they feel dissatisfied in DCP.
He maintained that DCP is a nationalist party, but ODM members can join if they leave their party.
“DCP is a Kenyan nationalist party; great leaders like Sifuna have a place here. If you are not comfortable with DCP, Babu Owino, and Sifuna, come to Wiper, our partner,” he said.
At the same time, Gachagua claimed that the president has bought ODM from Suna East MP Junet Mohamed and Homa Bay governor Gladys Wangawho also serves as the party’s national chairman.
