Beryl will be buried on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Kang’o Ka Jaramogi, BondoSiaya county.
The family, led by Raila Odinga Junior, confirmed the details of the funeral and noted that the decision was made with the approval of Siaya senator Oburu Oginga.
A memorial service is scheduled for Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at the Consolata Shrine in Westlands.
Beryl, who passed away on November 25, 2025, aged 78, had been ill for a long time.
She was married to the late Otieno Ambala, a former Member of Parliament for Gem, who passed away in 1985.
Who is Adongo Ambala?
While the preparations to give him a proper funeral are going on, it has been revealed that his stepdaughter has also passed away.
According to an obituary in a local newspaper, Adongo Ambala passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025.
“It is with great sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden death of Adongo Ambala,” the memorial read.
Adongo was employed by the county government Poisonous. The deceased was the daughter of the late Member of Parliament for Gem, while her mother was Nancy Ambala.
Adongo was the mother of three children, Iris Apiyo, Sophie Adongo, and Finn Okello.
“She was the stepdaughter of the late Perez Ambala and the late Beryl Odinga.”
Family and friends are meeting every day for prayers and making funeral arrangements at the family home in Chulaimbo, Kisumu.
When is Adongo Ambala’s funeral?
Adongo’s funeral service will be held at St. Stephen’s Church in Milimani, Kisumu, Thursday, December 4, 2025, at noon.
“This will be followed by an all-night vigil at the family home in Chulaimbo.”
Adongo will be buried on Friday, December 5, 2025, at the family home, a day before he is sent to Beryl.
