His body had injuries that indicated that he had fallen from the 14th floor of Block B, where he was living in a temporary house at 1406.

An autopsy conducted on Monday, December 1 revealed severe injuries to the head, chest, and abdomen of the 25-year-old, as well as fractures to both legs.

His crash crushed parts of the car beneath him. Detectives later confirmed that Festus entered the apartment on November 28 with two people, Lilian Moraa Mbeki and Patrick Jagongo, who were both arrested after the incident.

Inside the apartment, investigators found the room in poor condition, suggesting tension or a struggle shortly before the collapse.

Lilian was in one of the bedrooms and appeared drunk when the police arrived. Officers also found Festo’s clothes and identification documents scattered in the space.

How did Festo meet Lilian before his death?

According to preliminary results, Festus and Lilian met earlier this year on the dating platform Tinder and had been in close contact ever since.

Lilian, who has Kenyan and Costa Rican citizenship, has been traveling frequently to Kenya to meet him.

Visitors’ logs indicate that several other visitors reached the apartment in the days before the disaster.

Detectives say Lilian told them she was drinking with Festus and Patrick on the night of her death, before leaving the two men in the living room and going to bed.

The chain of events is now at the center of the investigation, with officials struggling to determine whether Festo fell from the balcony or whether he was pushed.

The Kibera court gave the Department of Criminal Investigation (DCI) 14 days to detain and interrogate them further as they piece together the last movements of Festus.

Samples have been collected to determine if alcohol or other substances affected the night’s events.

The investigation is still ongoing, and detectives are urging anyone with useful information to come forward as they work to uncover exactly what happened before Festus Lee Oromo’s death.
