Member of Parliament for East Africa (EALA), Winnie Odingahas celebrated Boyd Were’s victory after the boy won the Kasipul parliamentary seat.

Boyd emerged victorious in the by-election held on Thursday, November 27, after a fierce campaign.
How many votes did Boyd Were get?
According to the official results announced by the Kasipul Electoral Officer from IEBCRebecca Abwakhu, Were got 16,819 votes.
Coming in second with 8,476 votes was Philip Aroko, his main opponent, who emerged as an independent candidate.
“Aroko Philip Nashon 8,476, Ong’ondo Boyd Were 16,819. The elected Member of Parliament is Mr. Ong’ondo Boyd Were,” Abwakhu announced.
The announcement was received with great joy at Agoro Sare High School, which was used as a counting station.
Boyd joined in the celebrations along with the Governor of Homa Bay Gladys Wanga and Member of Parliament for Homa Bay Urban, Peter Kaluma, who was attacked during voting.
The large gap showed ODM’s stability in the region and indicated the party’s success in mobilizing its supporters despite the tense campaigns.
Boyd, while receiving his certificate, thanked the people who supported him. He emphasized that the victory was an important step for him personally and also a role that he is ready to perform.
What did Boyd Were say after winning?
Boyd, who is replacing his late father, said now is the time to return to the table and serve the people of Kasipul.
“First of all, I want to thank the residents of Kasipul for trusting me. I enjoy the role of leading the people of Kasipul. I also want to thank our party ODM and the chairman of our party, Gladys Wanga, for believing in the leadership of the youth. The people of Kasipul have done their duty. What remains now is for me to serve them diligently. Thank you very much,” said Boyd in his first speech.

Winnie joined other ODM members to celebrate Boyd’s victory. Through Instagramsaid the victory is very important for the youth.
Winnie added that the ODM party is still strong and stable.
“This is a great victory for the youth. Congratulations Boyd for winning the Kasipul seat. ODM Is Strong,” he wrote.
How did Boyd Were’s mother celebrate his victory?
In other news, Boyd Were’s mother, who has been supporting him throughout the election, was caught on video celebrating her son’s victory.
The mother of the Kasipul elected MP expressed great joy after her son’s victory.
Boyd’s two mothers attended some of his campaign rallies wearing orange, showing their unity and support for their son.
Together with two other women, they were seen laughing and clapping their hands, enjoying the victory wholeheartedly.
