Cecilia Wairimu, a poor woman whose mud-roofed house collapsed a month ago, finally managed to get into a safe house following the concerted efforts of good people who were saddened by her plight.
Inooro TV’s report showed that Cecilia has been ill for a long time, with medical expenses burdening her family and adding to the challenges they were facing.

The mud house collapsed after heavy rains, leaving the family homeless.
He said: “I was sick for a long time, and when the house collapsed, I didn’t know what to do. I am very thankful that now I have a new house. I have a daughter who passed the KCSE exam, I hope philanthropists can also come forward to help her.”
How Nyandarua’s philanthropists came forward to help Wairimu
One of the residents said that when he heard about Cecilia’s problems, he even sought help from Governor Kiarie to raise more funds for construction.
“He was sick for a long time, often in the hospital, while his illness was not properly diagnosed. As a society, we should have also helped his son receive circumcision because he was not able to do so,” said another resident.
Cecilia is now happy that her family is in a safe house, while she hopes for a speedy recovery.
“He needs more help for his family, and we hope he gets it,” he added.

Elsewhere, a woman from Meru who works in Arab countries surprised Kenyans after showing a beautiful house she built using her earnings.
He said he went abroad to improve his mother’s life, so building her a luxury house and decorating it with beautiful furniture was a dream come true.
Many praised him for his hard work and wished to achieve such success.
