Speaking to Gen Z youths in Embu county, the former vice president accused him Ruto for destroying the country in the past three years.

He claimed that important sectors such as education, health, business, and agriculture have been weakened under Ruto’s leadership.

“Everything the president has said is a lie. He recently claimed he would make Kenya look like Singapore, but within three years he has destroyed everything. Free primary education established by the late former president Mwai Kibaki has been destroyed, secondary education under the retired president Uhuru Kenyatta has collapsed, and from January, high school students will start paying fees because grant funds are not provided,” he said.
According to Gachagua, Ruto has directed school grant funds to fund empowerment projects across the country.
“The money is directed to Kindiki, who uses it to bribe people. If you give Ruto another chance, Kenya will be like Somalia. Maybe he saw this ‘S’ as Singapore, but it is Somalia!” Gachagua demanded.
He further criticized the deputy president, claiming that his region has not seen any meaningful development despite his long political career.
“In the Kindiki area, there are no roads, the classrooms are a shame, and you have to use a helicopter because there are no proper roads,” Gachagua said.

Gachagua also firmly stated that he cannot greet Ruto, even in the near future.
He said that the president and his deputy participated in the killing of Gen Z protesters during the protest of the anti-money bill and therefore they are not fit to lead.
According to Gachagua, his understanding would not allow him to betray the people.
“I told them not to kill our children. I have nothing to do with Ruto. He has a lot of blood on his hands. I would like to retire in Wamunyoro and take care of my cows instead of having a new deal with him. I’m sorry, my understanding would not allow him,” he said.
