Nairobi, Kenya: Fans and friends of Betty Bayo lined the streets from the Kenyatta University mortuary to Mugumo in Kiambu County to bid farewell to the beloved singer.

Thursday, November 20, was the day scheduled for the burial of Betty Bayo following her sudden death almost two weeks ago due to acute myeloid leukemia.
As soon as people learned that Betty had passed away, they took to their social media to pay their respects to the musician, wife, mother and friend.
Since then, Kenyans have mourned Betty online, at her home in Eldeville, at the Bluesprings Hotel, and at Prophet Victor Kanyari’s church.
On November 20, when his body was taken out of the morgue for burial, people lined both sides of the road to the square, wailing, crying, and waving goodbye.
The video shared by Kanyari also showed that people followed the body from the service to his house for burial.
Many people who watched the video were amazed at how much he was loved, while many regretted that he was not there to see that love.
