“I got the news that he had fallen at around eight o’clock at night. The company should be responsible for this matter and responsible for their work. They are a very big company. They should be responsible while at work. They should have their experienced people on site,” Kariuki’s uncle, John Nyoike, said.

It was alleged that the heavy machinery was being operated without a qualified operator, raising further questions about the lack of safety equipment for workers in the area.

Kariuki’s father, Francis Gitonga, could not contain his emotions after losing his beloved son, with tears streaming down his cheeks.
