Nairobi: Secretary General of ODM Edwin Sifuna has announced the death of his uncle, Roy Bulinya Sifuna.

The family gathered at St. Francis Catholic Church there Kasarani on Thursday, November 20, for a memorial mass, where Roy was remembered as a brilliant engineer known for his courtesy, patience, and kindness.
“The Sifuna family is mourning again. Uncle Bulinya was praised as a great engineer who was always gentle, patient, and kind. Very few of us in the family can be described in those words,” he said.
Sifuna said Roy will be buried this Saturday, November 22, in Siaka village, Kanduyi, Bungoma County.

When did Sifuna’s uncle, Lawrence Sifuna, die?
Meanwhile, in December 2023, Sifuna confirmed the death of former Bungoma South MP and his uncle, Lawrence Sifuna.
Lawrence died while receiving treatment at a hospital there Eldoret after having a stroke. He was remembered as one of the liberation heroes of Kenya who fought for democracy and justice.
The leaders wanted him to be celebrated and honored with a proper National funeral in recognition of his dedicated leadership and his role in laying the foundations of Bumula and Kanduyi states.
Did Sifuna cry following Raila’s death?
In other news, the senator shed tears and was in a state of sadness following the death of his former party leader, Raila Odingaon October 15.
Sifuna was part of the team that brought back Raila’s body from India, but it is said that he did not have the opportunity to see it until they arrived in Nairobi.
Did Sifuna cry after Raila’s death? In his eulogy, he praised Raila’s leadership and promised to maintain his legacy by ensuring that ODM remains true to its core principles.
