Did Mike Sonko buy a car for his daughter’s husband?
During the confrontation, Sonko revealed that he has been supporting his daughter’s family financially. She asked him why he hurt his daughter when he has been paying all the bills.
“Why are you beating my child? This girl is very young, and now she is full of wounds on her body because of you. I pay your children’s tuition, I buy food for them, I pay your taxes, and then you still beat my daughter?” he asked angrily.

Sonko also said that the Range Rover that the man was driving was bought by him.
When he took his daughter to leave, Sonko told his son-in-law to follow him home on Monday accompanied by his parents.
He also asked him to bring the white Range Rover that was parked outside the house, but the man claimed that it had a slight problem.
“What’s wrong? Take it to the office on Monday. I bought you a car, and you still don’t handle it well. This isn’t the first time you’ve damaged it. Come with your parents on Monday,” he said.

How did Kenyans feel after learning that Sonko bought his son-in-law a car?
The revelation that the politician has been taking care of his daughter’s family, including her husband, sparked a heated debate online.
Many were surprised that despite everything being done for him to live a good life, he still had the strength to abuse his wife.

Some said they would even agree to be his “prisoners” if they had to.
Feelings of Kenyans
David Auma: “I have learned something great from you, sir, and from your daughter as well. This is a message for men, me being one of them: put your family first, whether it’s good or bad. A woman loves her husband, and her father-in-law values their marriage. But the man seems to have no commitment. Let’s pray for them and all those who are going through a situation like this. Above all, let’s put God first.”
Ronny Mutuma: “Mike Sonko took a young man, gave him a wife, pays his taxes, pays for the children’s fees, and even gives him food. But the family still uses force to beat Sonko’s son, man.”
Aela Omogi: “If I were this guy, Sonko would be my mentor, my business partner, and my best friend.”
Maforien: “That’s a shame, if it were me I would do anything for this marriage – even if it’s washing his clothes.“
Ericko Silver 254: “If that was my father-in-law helping me like that, I would protect his daughter with all my power.”
Caroline: “From what I have seen in this story… his daughter loves the man so much that Sonko also had to love him and make sure they live well. But the lofa is very jealous.”
What did Oga Obinna say after the Sonko saga?
In another report, TUKO.co.ke reported that a YouTuber Oga Obinna he praised the politician for the way he handled his daughter’s situation.
Obinna said the level of patience and maturity shown by Sonko was impressive, as not many parents could control themselves like that.
He said that he would have taken stronger measures and probably punished the man if it had been his daughter who had been attacked.
