The exercise of recruiting new police officers has faced several challenges and at first it could not start and finally when it started, people came in large numbers to participate.

“The only reason I got fired was because of my eye twitching, and I even wondered what was wrong. They kept saying it was wrong no matter how I tried to explain it,” he said.

“Why can’t they focus on other things so that those who can’t meet these requirements can still qualify? A lot of people are out there, but they’re being released on very minor issues, and the government should look at that,” he added.

According to the police who were in charge of the recruitment campaign, the young people eagerly reported on time, and the exercise was successful.

“We intend to hire 16 people. We evaluate several areas, starting from age, academic qualifications, and physical and medical evaluations. From the National Youth Service (NYS), we hire less than 10 people, and the age is between 18 and 28 years,” they said.

Another news revealed how women who missed the police job search exercise were asked to prepare for future opportunities.

The NPS conducted a one-day exercise targeting 10,000 police officers in 427 stations across the country.

The exercise came after the decision of the High Court to lift the suspension order of the previous exercise and marked one of the biggest drag exercises in Kenya.
