The Central Organization of Trade Unions (COTU) strongly criticized the Chinese citizen who was employed to attack a Kenyan worker in Eldoret and given a picture of him doing so.
The General Secretary of COTU, Francis Atwoli, wrote a letter to the Minister of Home Affairs, Dating Murkomenrequesting that the Chinese citizen be returned immediately to the country.
Atwoli criticized the attack on Saturday, November 15, saying it was a gross violation of the worker’s rights and dignity.
As a champion for the protection of Kenyan workers, Atwoli vowed to fight against the abuses of unscrupulous Chinese employers in the country.
Atwoli said to Murkomen that failure to return the Chinese citizen would be a failure of the trust that Kenyan workers have placed in the Ministry of Interior and the government in general.

2. Daily Nation
This magazine reported on the division emerging within the Odinga family over the management of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM).
During the ODM @20 celebrations in Mombasa, Winnie Odingathe daughter of the late leader of the party Raila Odinga, came out in public and questioned the ability of her uncle, Oburu Oginga, to lead the party.
On Friday, November 15, Winnie questioned in shock that some party leaders, who were not named, were planning to “sell” ODM founded by her late father in 2005, which is now led by her uncle.
He questioned whether those in charge of the ODM-UDA relationship have the same ability as his late father.
Winnie strongly called for a National Delegates Conference (NDC) to give power to members to decide who should lead the broader relationship.
“This broad relationship is difficult. Those who manage it now, do they have the ability? Because only Father Raila Odinga could manage it,” said Winnie.
