The former driver, known on TikTok as Omonairobi, shared a video explaining how his life changed after the accident in Gwoyo on February 17, 2025.
He said the incident happened while he was at work and that he now lives with a permanent disability that has made him unable to work or support himself.
The driver added that he has visited the company’s offices many times without success and that he believes the insurance documents he shared with him are not valid.
What did Ena Coach say about Ondieki’s insurance claim?
In a statement on Friday, November 14, Ena Investments Limited addressed the issue, saying it has faced challenges while trying to help him and that they have been taking steps within the required procedures.
The company revealed that the driver, whose official name is Tom Ondieki, worked with them for seven months before the accident.
Ena Coach confirmed that the accident resulted in amputation and later described the period as a challenge for Ondieki and the company.
The statement notes that the driver had insurance and that the company quickly submitted a claim to his insurance partner as soon as he was released from the hospital.
According to Ena Coach, the insurance company reviewed the case and provided compensation based on its assessment.
The company said that the offer was made to Ondieki, who rejected it and stopped all future direct contact.
“Ondieki objected to the compensation and requested that all further communication be directed through his lawyer, who gave his explanation,” read a statement by Richard Mogire, Chief Executive Officer of Ena Investments Limited.

The company stressed that the welfare of workers remains its top priority, noting that other workers have gone through similar processes in previous years and received their compensation without dispute.
Ena Coach reiterated its commitment to ensure Ondieki receives all the benefits he is entitled to as long as legal action is completed.
“We are committed to ensuring that Ondieki receives all the rights and support he deserves. We urge Ondieki to continue to cooperate with our offices and the relevant authorities so that this matter can be resolved in the fairest way possible,” said Mogire.
