Elgeyo Marakwet: A family in Elgeyo Marakwet has finally found the body of their uncle, who sadly died in the mudslides that hit some villages in the county.

On Friday, October 31, heavy rains caused numerous rock falls, as well as flash floods, and many people lost their lives in villages along the Kerio Valley.

Residents were shocked by the turn of events, and according to the authorities, the heavy rain caused a lot of water to flow down the slopes of Kerio, known for its steepness.

“They found him after 11 days, now we are resting and we can give him a dignified burial. Nine people are still missing,” he said.
