A Baringo police officer has made people happy online after he intervened to take care of a baby while the mother sat for the ongoing Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination.

A female police officer, identified as Sanieko Kech, was caught lovingly taking care of the baby so that the mother could sit for the national exams, which started two weeks ago.
In an exciting video that has touched many, Sanieko encouraged the child throughout the test and even wished the mother all the best.
“Taking care of the baby so that the mother can do the KCSE exams. I wish her all the best,” he wrote under his video.
The officer is said to be working at the Eldama Ravine police station in Baringo County.
Kenyans praise a kind police officer
His act of kindness impressed many, with many praising him.

Minister Ogamba will ensure the reliability of the 2025 exams
With the 2025 KCSE examinations underway, the Minister of Education, Julius Ogamba, recently assured the government of its commitment to strengthening the credibility of the national examinations.
Speaking on Monday after inspecting the examination container, the Minister noted that measures have already been initiated to protect the integrity of the examinations.

He stressed that the government will not tolerate any malpractice at any stage of the examination process.
“We are confident that every candidate will complete their exams safely, and that their results will reflect their genuine efforts,” he said.
However, several people have been linked to exam malpractices, one of them being a university student who was caught taking the exam on behalf of a candidate.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the student had been paid KSh 20,000 to take the exam on behalf of the candidate. He was arrested along with five supervisors, the station manager, and the supervisor.
Kirinyaga student missed exams
In other news, a family in Kirinyaga was recently heartbroken after their fourth form student failed an exam after being kidnapped.
Wycliffe Muthii, a student from Kiaga village in Kanyekiine county, left home early on Monday morning to start his national exams.
The police have launched an investigation as questions are raised about the safety of students during the ongoing national exams.
