Bayo died of cancer on November 10 at the Kenyatta National Hospital, where he had been hospitalized.
The sad news of his death left netizens heartbroken, with many empathizing with his young children.

Mourning his friend Bayo, a Wakakura influencer, he remembered their last meeting, how they spent a good time together before he died.
“Last Monday I was at your house. We stayed until almost midnight, we laughed, we talked, and I really hoped you would be well. And now you are gone. Why, what is life?”

Gospel singer and reality star Lady Bee, another close friend of Bayo, recounted how she battled cancer until the last minute.
He recalled how they visited Bayo in the hospital on Sunday, November 9, before he died of cancer on Monday, November 10.
Still dealing with the sudden loss of her best friend, Lady Bee said she still hasn’t come to terms with the fact that she is no more.
He narrated how receiving the sad news of Bayo broke their hearts, saying that despite the fact that he is gone, he will remain forever in their hearts.
“Words have completely failed me π. It was so fast ππ. My sister @priscillandanumaina called me on Sunday and I joined her to see you π€¦ββοΈ I didn’t expect to see you like thatπ but I knew you would get through, because you are a very strong woman π but even though you were watching with your eyes, you were going ππ When the doctor gave us the news, it was the worst feeling ever π πππ, but one thing I believe is that you are back home π. She is not here in the body, you are with our Father ποΈ.

Priscilla, another close friend of Bayo, had recalled their last meeting, recounting how they spent his last days together before the singer died.
He spoke more about their close friendship, sharing the fond memories they shared.
“You see right now we will laugh and cry because that’s what we do best. Like we did today and we said normally…let’s take selfies for memory and I said smile. I chose you from home, we came to my place…then we went to the car. When I kissed your forehead many times today and said until next time and your hair was still neat…We will talk for a while until we say goodbye for now. I love you so much. You are in safe hands…we will keep this tab open. May your soul rest in peace my love and I will improve my Kikuyu…I promise,” he wrote in part, accompanying the photo.

Where will Betty Bayo be buried?
Earlier, TUKO.co.ke reported that Bayo’s family announced that he will be buried on Thursday, November 20.
Family spokesperson Mzee David Kigomo revealed that Bayo will be buried on a piece of land he bought in Mugumo Estate, along Kiambu Road.
The funeral committee had announced that the budget is KSh 5 million and asked Kenyans to support them in giving the singer a proper burial.
Former president Uhuru Kenyatta donated KSh 1 million for Bayo’s funeral, and Minister Moses Kuria donated KSh 500,000.
