How did the death of Betty Bayo affect Kanyari?

Since that sad news, Pastor Kanyari has not hesitated to show his feelings.

He was seen looking sad at the Kenyatta National Hospital on the day Betty died.

During a press conference on Wednesday, November 12, Kanyari explained why he was clearly emotional.

He said he didn’t know Betty was sick and only found out about her illness after she died, which made the loss even harder to bear.

Pastor Kanyari opened up about the emotional upheaval he has gone through since Betty’s death, admitting that the pain has caused him to lose sleep and suffer from nightmares.

“It hurts me a lot. Yesterday I didn’t sleep; I had a bad dream about Betty more than three times. Every time I slept, I dreamed of my child asking me where their mother is. I slept with a troubled conscience,” he said.

The televangelist revealed that he is still struggling to accept the fact that Betty is gone forever, saying that sometimes he convinces himself that she is still alive.

“Even I think she is not really dead. When I see her in the picture, I feel like she is still alive. Some people may forget her, but I will never forget the mother of my children, and my children will never forget her,” he said.

Kanyari asked his supporters to pray for him and Betty’s family, especially her mother, children and her husband, Hiram Gitau.
