Kenyans are still coming to terms with the sudden death of gospel singer Betty Bayo, who died after being diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia.

The singer, whose real name is Beatrice Mbugua, rose to fame over a decade ago with her hit song 11th Hour, followed by other fan favorites such as Siyabonga and Busy Busy.
What was Betty Bayo’s last song?
After his death, fellow gospel artistes and pastors paid their emotional tributes.
Among them were the famous gospel music couple Wapenduba Muziki; Mesh and Ninah, who shared a touching video of their last moments with Betty.
The four-minute piece recorded his last song, Plan A, which he worked on with the couple before his death.
In the video, recorded in a luxury home, Betty was seen wearing a white jersey Manchester United and red sweatpants.
He seemed very happy, dancing and singing enthusiastically while the audio was being recorded.
In Plan A, Betty sings a Kikuyu song, praising God as her only plan in life to overcome challenges.
He sings lines like:
“You are my plan A, you are my plan B, you are my plan C, without you, I can’t do it. If I want to shine, I just want to shine because of you. I want a good life, but only what you will give me, because now I know that without you, I can’t do it. I look up to heaven where my help comes from…”
Throughout the video, Betty looked happy, immersed in what she loved most, praising and worshiping God through music.

Where will Betty Bayo be buried?
In related news, the committee in charge of Betty’s funeral arrangements announced that she will be laid to rest on Thursday, November 20.
The singer will be buried in his own land at Mugumo Estate Kiambu Road.
The committee also revealed that they have set a budget of KSh 5 million to ensure that he gets a suitable transaction.
