A family from Naivasha, County Nakuruis seeking justice and demanding answers after the body of their relative was allegedly transferred to another facility without their consent.

Joyce Parakuo lost her husband, who was in the intensive care unit, and a few hours later his body was missing.
The deceased was receiving treatment in a private hospital and was admitted to the ICU but sadly passed away.
According to the man’s family, the hospital took more than five hours to prepare the bill, which amounted to more than KSh 1.3 million, forcing the family to return later to collect the money.

His wife, Joyce Parakuo, expressed her surprise, wondering why her husband’s body was moved to an unknown location without her consent as a wife.
“It is very sad. I pray that we can get justice,” Joyce said.
His sister, Ann Parakuo, said the body was just removed in front of their eyes, while the family thought at first that it was another patient being transferred.
“The ambulance arrived at about one o’clock in the evening. We thought it was taking a patient or another body, we didn’t know it was him. We even helped, but later we wondered if it was our relative,” he said.
Ann noted that, the situation got worse, as they were not informed about where the body was taken.

Samuel Kapolondo, the man’s brother-in-law, also said that they were still looking for a place to put the body, but to luck bad, someone else took that place.
Another person noted that open communication is important in solving problems, especially if there were misunderstandings.
“The doctor is nowhere to be found. We can only find his assistant, who has refused to give us any information about the body or the doctor’s whereabouts.”
