It all started when Njiru took to his social media on Thursday, November 5, to blame the country’s independent electoral commission, the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

He accused her IEBC for sabotaging the voter registration process in the country in preparation for the 2027 General Election.

“IEBC did not initiate any Public Awareness Campaigns. Who is IEBC defending?” Njiru questioned.

In response, Amisi, who belongs to the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), criticized Njiru, saying that the party has been in opposition for a long time, so they understand the impact of publicly casting doubt on IEBC.

Amisi said that attacking the IEBC is usually counterproductive as it ends up discouraging Kenyans from participating in the voting exercise.

“Boss, we have been in these streets for a long time with the ODM party, the CORD coalition, the NASA coalition and the Azimio coalition. The moment you start attacking the IEBC and complaining every day about justice, you demoralize your supporters and thus reduce the number of people who show up in your strongholds,” Amisi said.

He sent a stronger message to the Union Opposition, saying that they need to prove to their supporters that they are capable of making the President William Ruto to be a one-term president.

Amisi said that not heeding his advice will only increase their stay in the opposition, as they will not win the presidency.

“Kenyans don’t vote for meek, weak, and cowardly leaders who can’t hurt a fly; they vote for courage. Show that you have the ability to bring Ruto home and even steal his remaining small votes, and you will surely thank me later. These periods would be good for the opposition. Trust me more. Kenya needs revival,” he added.
