Raila died in India on October 15, which caused the nation to go into mourning and uncertainty, due to the political position he built in the country.

President William Ruto he officially announced his death and ordered a seven-day mourning period.

He also ordered the leader of the opposition to be given a national funeral.

The ODM leader also left them a legacy that required him to be buried within three days of his death.

He was buried on October 19 in Kang’o Ka Jaramogi as thousands gathered at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology (JOOUST) for the service.
