Nairobi, Kenya: Susan Kamengere, a nurse who was allegedly murdered at Chiromo Hospital Group, will finally be buried after three and a half months in the morgue.

The woman who was allegedly killed in the hospital, who was given an honorary status, sadly died after being strangled.
An autopsy conducted on his body revealed that he was strangled, and many people were touched by the news, including his family, who spoke emotionally at Umash Funeral Home.
It was alleged that her husband had asked the hospital staff to forcibly take her, inject her with an unknown drug and then take her to the hospital without her consent.
Although the family was careful to bury their sister, her husband took them to court wanting to bury her, but in the end, the case was in favor of his family.
“The time has come to lay him to rest, and the funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025,” said Westkago Jacque, a mental health counselor.
“In this situation, I humbly request friends to help the family financially in clearing the expenses,” he added.

How much is Kamengere’s funeral budget?
In addition, Westkago gave a summary of the budget that will be used to bury the beloved nurse.
On the budget, the mortuary fee will cost KSh 156,500, home preparation, bed sheets, sound system, and the remaining legal fees will cost KSh 403,500, and the total budget will be KSh 560,000.
“We sincerely seek your prayers and financial support to ensure the success of the funeral preparations,” said the counselor.
“Thank you all for your support. God bless you abundantly as you join us to honor Susan’s memory at Leshau Nyahururu Farm,” he added.

DCI monitors Chiromo Hospital staff
After his controversial death, DCI followed the staff at the Nairobi station.
After the post-mortem report, the police identified three people to follow in relation to Kamengere’s alleged murder.
A CCTV clip from the hospital showed his final steps from when he was admitted to when he was allegedly killed.
