The Gunners have made a good start to the campaign as they hope to end their trophy drought.

Mikel Arteta’s side are desperate for the Premier League, a title which the club last won in 2004. After three successive runners-up finishes, there is a strong belief that they have finally made amends for the mistakes of previous seasons to mount a serious challenge.

The club began searching for key players this summer, bringing in key players to strengthen the squad and improve squad depth.

However, ahead of their Champions League game against Slavia Prague on Tuesday night, the usual injury problems seem to be cropping up again. Arteta could be without up to eight players for the game at Fortuna Stadium in Prague.

Arteta gives new information about Viktor Gyokeres

Top of the list is striker Viktor Gyokeres, who impressed at the break in their weekend win over Burnley, with Arteta admitting he was worried.

“He’s definitely not there. He didn’t practice today, and we need to do more tests and tests in the next few days to understand the extent of the injury, but for this game, he’s not there. I’m worried because he didn’t have many muscle problems, and he had to leave the field,” he said through the club’s website.

Who else is missing from Arsenal’s squad?

In addition to the Swedish striker, Arteta still has to deal with long-term absences such as Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus, Noni Madueke and club captain Martin Odegaard. Gabriel Martinell is also still missing.
