On Monday, October 27, Amisi claimed that the work linked to Babu was the responsibility of the Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA), which oversees development across Nairobi.
How did Babu respond to Amisi’s claims?
Babu rejected these claims, insisting that he is focused on actual service delivery rather than social media recognition.

He described the criticism as an attempt to undermine his achievements while reiterating his commitment to the people of Embakasi East.
The two MPs in recent days have shared a friendly relationship due to shared beliefs in the One Kenya group which included the Nairobi senator Edwin Sifuna and Githunguri Member of Parliament Gathoni Wamuchomba.
Babu rejected Amisi’s claims, calling him an “unclean spirit” and defended his record as one of Kenya’s best parliamentarians.
“I want to tell you that I also thought that Caleb Amisi is my friend. But anyway, it is another painful soul discovered and I want to advise you that pain is like swallowing poison and expecting someone else to die,” he said.
The Member of Parliament questioned why the national government, if it is indeed the one behind the development in Embakasi East, did not do similar work in other states, including that of Amisi itself.
He said that government projects are usually shared publicly, but no official record exists for roads in Embakasi East.

“I want to tell you clearly that if the national government was building roads in Embakasi East state, as Caleb claims, how come the same national government is not building roads in his state or other states, for that matter? Any road, any project that the government, the national government has been doing, they always publish. There is not a single road from Embakasi East that they have published,” The MP said.
What is Babu’s advice to Amisi?
Babu emphasized that his work can be validated and recognized nationally, citing his consecutive awards as Kenya’s best MP as proof of exceptional service.
The speaker said that such recognition is based on sincere commitment rather than political position.
“I want to tell Caleb Amisi that Grandpa Owino is a wonderful leader. Grandpa Owino manages to be extraordinary when others are ordinary leaders. There is a reason why Grandpa Owino was ranked as the best Member of Parliament in Kenya now for two consecutive times. It means that there is something that Grandpa Owino is doing and he knows that they do not know. It means that there is something amazing about Grandpa Owino that is common in them. It means that because Grandpa Owino is wise, they manage to be otherwise.” he said.
He used the opportunity to defend his development strategy, insisting that the projects published under his name were part of his consistent approach to state service.

Babu lashed out at Amisi, urging him to focus on serving his constituents instead of getting involved in political bitterness and competition.
“Right now, the responsibility on my shoulder is very heavy. It means that I can’t get involved in small issues. A heavy head that wears a crown. I want to tell my brother to continue working for his people, not to be bitter, but to be better. That’s all I can say,” The MP added.
