How much debt did Willis Raburu have?

But the car still had problems, and he chose to sell it for more than KSh 600,000. The person who chose to buy the car told him that he would need to buy a new engine, which would cost him KSh 400,000.

According to Raburu, after selling the car, he was left with no choice but to pay off the debt he had accumulated because he was using taxis and getting things from the shop.

“A man from a car dealership came and said he would buy the engine of a car. So if you bought it for KSh 680,000, then 25 percent of the sale value will be KSh 550,000 or KSh 600,000 if you’re lucky. Don’t forget that the engine cost this man KSh 400,000, and other things that need to be replaced. Now I’m looking at KSh 200,000. The same woman drove car, he came, we checked, and he came with cash. He gave me KSh 75,000 in an envelope, and I was still paying the loans.” he said.

According to Raburu, he started using taxis because every time he entered the threepeople would force him to pay transportation for everyone.
