The former prime minister died while undergoing treatment in India. He was accompanied by his sister Ruth and her daughter Winnie Odinga.

Winnie revealed that her father died during his morning exercise and that he died in her arms.

Raila was buried BondoSiaya county and since then visitors have been flocking to K’ango Ka Jaramogi.

Did Charlene visit Raila’s grave?

Ruto’s daughter Charlene also visited Odinga’s family in photos shared on social media by Junior.

Charlene was seen holding hands with Ida Odinga in one of the pictures, and in the other, they stood next to a statue of a lion.

The statue surrounded by white and red flowers at the family grave reminds Kenyans and foreigners of Odinga’s legacy, which is characterized by bravery and strength.

In a separate photo, Charlene was seen walking around the stadium with Odinga’s family.

He also laid a wreath at Raila’s grave, while Mama Ida and Junior looked on.

Junior also insisted that the grounds were open to all visitors, and wrote a short message on the post:

“Thank you very much for coming to K’ango Ka Jaramogi, everyone is welcome.”

Kenyans congratulated Charlene for taking time to visit the politician’s grieving family.

Charlene had written a touching message on social media about the politician’s funeral.

Kenyans expected him to attend the funeral, but he could not due to personal reasons.

He wrote:

“Heroes’ Day this year finds us in a sensitive and emotional state, making us, as young people, reflect on whether we have the strength, courage, and perseverance to take action and take our country to the next level. Let us remember the meaning of our flag, the weight of the words of our National Anthem, and let us be torch bearers of development for Kenya.”
