Nuru Okanga, a faithful and persistent follower of Raila Odinga and the ODM party, has admitted that he has not yet come to terms with the death of the former Prime Minister.

Okanga was never afraid to show his loyalty to Raila, known by name Fatherand several times he was arrested and imprisoned for several days, especially during protest against the government.
The father of two claimed that he was being targeted because of his support for Raila.
Did Nuru Okanga attend Raila Odinga’s funeral?
The political activist almost missed attending Father’s funeral, but the Minister Moses Kuria he helped her at the last minute.
Kuria paid for the plane tickets for Okanga and his colleague Omosh One Hour to Kisumu to attend the funeral of their leader.
The two shared a video of them boarding a KQ flight to Kisumu, with Okanga thanking Kuria for his support.
Many expected Okanga to be given the opportunity to speak at the national funeral, but he was not recognized. Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, the ODM supporter said he was not happy.
“I thought they would give me a chance to say goodbye to Baba because he knew me every time he was in his meetings. Me, Omosh and Gaucho were not recognized even though we fought hard for Baba and were often arrested,” he said.
Is Nuru Okanga moving to another party?
The budding politician claimed that Raila has been appearing to him frequently in his dreams, something that scares him.
“I have dreamed of him twice, saying that people say that I want to trend. I still haven’t come to terms with his death. Dreaming about him makes me feel worse,” he said.
When asked about rumors that he is leaving ODM, Okanga denied.
“I’m still trying to see how ODM will go. If they end up in the wrong hands, I can’t join,” he said.
Okanga also revealed that he was among the last people to speak to Raila before he died in India.
“I called him on the Monday of the week he died, he hung up and called me again. We talked, he told me he was fine and was even going to the gym. He told me to take him to the stadium when he returns to Kenya from India,” recalled Okanga.

How much did Raila Odinga spend on Nuru Okanga?
In other news, Okanga expressed great happiness after Raila, CS Joho, Mohammed and Grandfather Owino send him KSh 200,000.
The politicians used the money for the dowry payment ceremony held in May 2024.
Okanga explained that Raila sent him KSh 110,000, Babu KSh 20,000, Junet Mohamed KSh 30,000, and Joho KSh 50,000.
A happy Okanga thanked the ODM politicians for helping him and showing him love.
