Kiambia’s daughter, Margaret Muchiri, decided to plead with Kenyans to go through Muraya peanutsasking for financial help.

In response to the request, Kenyans were able to collect the money needed to ensure Kibiama’s release from detention.

Muchiri mentioned that he could not afford the bond needed to secure his mother’s release, as he was unemployed.

He added that he was living at his cousin’s house in Nairobi while taking care of his two-month-old baby.

His father, on the other hand, did not have a permanent job and relied more on odd jobs to support the family.

Despite working together with his mother, their combined income was not enough to cover the bail that the police had requested.

Muchiri also claimed that his father abandoned them during the trial period, to the extent of expressing his joy when he heard that Kiambia was imprisoned.
