“Edwin Sifuna, if you think you are a good enough MP, if you think you are a good enough person, and if ODM seems to be going too far behind you, then resign from the mandate you have been given,” Kasmuel said.

Kasmuel also expressed his disappointment with the way Sifuna responded to controversial remarks made by Nyeri governor Mutahi Kahiga.

Why is Kasmuel McOure unhappy with Edwin Sifuna?

Kahiga, a close associate of the former vice president Rigathi Gachaguawas heavily criticized after he was caught on camera ‘celebrating’ the death of Raila Odinga.

Responding to Kahiga’s remarks, Sifuna urged Kenyans to respond with love, saying that even the former prime minister would have lunch with the governor of Nyeri.

However, Kasmuel described Sifuna’s response as weak, saying the ODM party needed a strong voice to condemn the Nyeri governor.

According to Kasmuel, ODM chairman Gladys Wanga he had to organize press conferences to answer Kahiga because Sifuna failed in his duties.

“When we needed a strong voice for ODM after Kahiga’s remarks, Sifuna gave a very weak statement. We are forcing Gladys Wanga, who has not slept and has been with Raila’s family, to start running and organize a press conference. We have left this burden to one person, and now she is being harassed,” he said.
