The journalist shared more details during an interview with The Times.

He explained that one of the bishop’s lovers, a nun, was jealous of his other lover, a lawyer.

It is reported that the nun leaked information about the bishop’s relationship with a third woman, causing a conflict between the lawyer and the other lovers.

“This was like a television opera,” the reporter said, adding that the situation revealed a larger issue of abuse of power.

“Many women were too afraid to speak out of fear of him,” he continued.

According to a Daily Mail report, the women involved in these cases were too afraid to share their stories until the truth began to emerge.

The bishop, named Ciro Quispe López, mistakenly sent him photos and videos intended for his lovers.

After examining the audio notes, photos, and videos that López had sent to the women, the Vatican launched a full investigation into the allegations.

Despite the overwhelming evidence, López denied the charges, calling them part of a smear campaign orchestrated by “dirty hands.”
