Githurai: Saddened Relative Killed 40 Days After Wedding

Family and friends from Githurai 45 have come in covered in grief after the death of a young man who was killed just a few weeks after his lavish wedding.

Frank tied the knot with his soulmate Naomi, on September 13, 2025, at the Kiuu AIPCA church in a lavish wedding ceremony attended by close friends and family.

In a statement shared by close friends and family members online, Frank met his death on Monday, October 20, after being attacked and killed in the area of Kasarani.

The attack has been reported to have happened around 5.20 pm, causing his death.

“We are deeply saddened to announce the death of Frankline Gatukui. On September 13, 2025, about a month ago, he married his beloved wife Naomi Wambui in a beautiful wedding ceremony led by Bishop Samuel Mburu at the AIPCA Church Kiuu Diocese of Thika,” a statement from a member of the AIPCA church read.

AIPCA Bishop Peterson Njenga sent a message of condolence to family and friends following the death of Frank, especially his wife Naomi.

“What a terrible tragedy. My condolences to Naomi, the Waweru family, friends, and the whole community. May God give you strength, comfort and peace in this difficult time. Rest in peace Frankline Gatukui. May her memory be a blessing to those who knew her. AIPCA Kiu fraternity and Thika mother Diocese, I am so sorry,” he wrote.
